About

At MGEFC, we desire to be a church where we:

Grow in Faith.  Connect in Community.  Share Hope with Our World.

Grow in Faith

A life of faith is a daily journey and every person is somewhere on that road. Some of us may be discovering faith for the first time. Others of us have been at it awhile, learning to apply faith to every challenge in life. The growing life of faith means that we never “arrive.” Instead, we encourage one another to take the next step in our pursuit of God.

"...your faith is growing more and more…" 2 Thessalonians 1:3

Connect in Community

Church and community could be considered redundant. The truth is that we cannot grow in faith if we are not plugged into the lives of others for support, challenge and encouragement. Likewise, we as a church look to plug into the life of our local community to bring the hope of Christ to those around us.

"But you are a chosen people…..a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." I Peter 2:9

Share Hope with Our World

This is the reason the church exists - to share the hope that is within us with a world that desperately needs it. Whether through words of encouragement, acts of kindness, or the shared great news of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, our hope is always grounded in God's redemptive love for His world.

"we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God" Romans 5:2

Ministry Identification

Each of these components should be integrated into your walk of faith. A balanced approach is best, which is why we want to encourage you to incorporate one serving of each (connect, grow and share) before you sign up for a second helping.

For easy reference, we have marked our adult ministry opportunities with the adjacent icons indicating which component will be emphasized in each ministry opportunity. You will find that some opportunities will emphasize more than one component, but all will provide a place for you to grow in faith, connect in community, or share hope with your world.
