About

Beliefs

Someone once said that if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. It is so important that we understand not only what we believe, but also how our beliefs influence the way we live. Here are some highlights from our Statement of Faith.

  • We believe that God is perfect in knowledge and power, and that His love for people is limitless.
  • We believe that God has given us the Scriptures in order to communicate His love, help us to understand His plan for us, and instruct us in how we can grow in faith. We strive to live according to its teachings and hope in its promises.
  • We believe that God created us to enjoy an intimate, loving relationship with Him. While sin pulls us apart from God, Jesus Christ reconciles us to our Heavenly Father.
  • We believe that the church exists to display God’s love and to bring hope to a world that desperately needs it. God expects us to love Him above all else, to live out our faith toward each other as we connect in our life together, and to work for compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ will return and that we should live our lives in the light of that belief.
